I am feeling very proud of my year 2 classes! Yesterday we had great fun pretending to be fruits and vegetables and hiding behind each other to show that when something is behind something else, part of it is hidden. Being able to see this and draw this is a major step in observational development AND NEEDS TO BE TAUGHT! The children then cut out images of fruits and vegetables and decided what would be in front and behind before drawing their composition. This is a great start to still life work and proves that to aid teaching, pretending to be a tomato
does wonders!
